It's been a while since I had the hiccups, but when I get the hiccups it is really bad and I thought you might be into seeing it. I'm supposed to be headed out but I can't stop hiccuping and it could be really embarrassing if I can't get them to stop when I'm out in public. I keep hic hic hiccuping over and over again with no end in sight. A couple times I burp after the hiccup. I try keeping my mouth closed and it makes a really weird sound in my throat. One hiccup starts a brief coughing fit. I try drinking some water but it doesn't help. Eventually I give up trying to make them stop and just say goodbye for now as I head out in public.
