When satisfied with how flat that section of the can is I move it to the non crushed part to smash that down. The first can doesn't come out to flat but I have plenty of others to try and crush flat. So I grab another and try again. Sometimes I'm squeezing so hard I grunt a bit and ball my fists. I try to get them as flat as I can. When done I show all of them and some have gotten really flat and others I did an ok job at but all good enough to get into the bin.
