The Crimson Skull is indeed behind it all. When we meet him, he is in the act of ruthlessly interrogating Lenora (Constance), a traitorous minion. Strapped naked to a platform, she has pliers and then electricity applied to her young body. She has stolen a critical component necessary for the completion of his nefarious plans. In the course of brutal questioning, he is informed by one of his agents that Lady Justice has been snooping into his affairs.
The Crimson Skull proceeds to set a trap for Lady Justice, luring her to a location to be attacked by the Black Bat (Nyxon), his hammer-wielding, black-leather-clad henchwoman. The two engage in a brutal fight in which the Crimson Skull himself will ensure that there is only one survivor.
And, with her usefulness over, the Crimson Skull has a terrible end in store for Lenora.
