Kayla makes sure her paperwork is in order for her big presentation later that afternoon. Unfortunately, as she does so she stumbles and twists her right ankle. She falls to the ground and crutches her right ankle. Very gently, she massages it, saying to herself that she must have sprained her ankle again. She continues to gently massage her ankle, before slowly removing her heel on her right foot. She massages a few moments more before dragging herself onto the couch. She crosses her right ankle over her left leg and continues to care for her injured ankle, wishing it would feel better.

A stranger (POV) walks in and finds her sitting there, rubbing her ankle, and sees on of her heels on the floor. She asks who they are and lets them know that she is pretty sure she sprained her ankle, but she should be okay. They keep telling Kayla that they can take a look at her ankle and make sure it isn't broken. She politely declines a few times but they're persistent and she finally gives in, allowing her foot to be examined. Very gently the stranger feels around, as she lets them know which parts hurt the most. They grab on tighter and she winces. All of a sudden, the stranger grabs on very tight and roughly starts twisting her already sprained ankle. She cries out and begs for them to stop. They continue to her ankle until releasing her and walking off. She is left clutching her ankle and wondering what just happened.

She slips off her remaining shoe and carefully pulls herself up. Balancing on her good left foot she decides to see if she can bear any weight on her injured ankle, now that it's even worse than before. As soon as Kayla lowers her right foot to the ground and puts any weight on it pain shoots through her injured ankle causing her to immediate raise her foot back off the ground. She tentatively tries a couple more steps before hopping her way back to the couch. She crosses her injured ankle back over her leg and reaches for her phone. She dials up her friend to explain what happened and asks them to drive her to the ER.
