Vonka is one of a number of candidates interviewing for the post of nanny for Dave's young step-daughter, and he is particularly anxious that he employ someone who will be a suitable role model for the girl. He compliments Vonka on dressing smartly which is very much in her favour when so many of her competitors are rather scruffy. However, there is one thing that Dave is especially concerned about, and that is having someone who might introduce his step-daughter to use. Vonka reassures him that she does not take of any kind and would be happy to submit to a test, but Dave worries that while she may be clean now, she may have a history with . Before offering her the job, he insists that Vonka remove all of her clothes so that he can inspect her body for evidence of needle marks. Vonka asks if this is something she could do in front of Dave's wife instead, but it seems she is out and Dave has another candidate to interview directly after Vonka. Vonka is reluctant to take off her clothes in front of this man and tries to resist. Dave mentions that the other girl he is seeing today is extremely well qualified for the position, and wonders if she might be more willing to submit her body for inspection than Vonka.
