Beth offers him a cup of tea. He likes it. Tastes even better than he’d expected, though he faints in front of her before he has any time to ask his friend what was in it.

By the time he wakes up again everything is huge around him. Beth seems to be looking for him in the distance, which he takes as a chance to run away and hide from her. She finally finds him hiding under the table and picks him up. Beth seems to be a completely different person. She speaks in a teasing way, as a predator looking for its prey. That doesn’t look like the person he used to know.

She loves David’s new size. She always wanted to make him her property, right from the moment he signed the lease for this apartment. Now she owns him.
