As she left the den she cursed her Step-Daddy but unfortunately for her he heard it, so she was ordered to change into her pyjamas and return with the slipper. She then had to bend over Step-Daddy's chair for a very hard slippering which left her red raw bottom covered in purple blotches. A very chastened Kaye was then sent to bed in tears to spend the night on her tummy instead of the dancefloor.
