Instead of paying a driver to accompany her and collect the money Tanya shows up to room 213 of the Hollywood Downtowner Motel all by herself. A sense of foreboding overtakes her as she pauses on the landing and gazes out over a drained swimming pool at the passing traffic on Hollywood Boulevard. The entrance to the room swings open behind her, causing Tanya to jump slightly. She plasters a smile on her face and trudges inside the dark unit even though she can barely discern the features of its inhabitant. Daylight vanishes as her host shuts the door and slides two deadbolts into place. It takes a minute for Tanya's eyes to adjust to the darkness. Her heart skips a beat when she sees lengths of white rope, gags, and a variety of sadistic implements lying atop every surface in the cramped living space..
