Tilly visits a cardiologist to discuss random and sharp heart pain she's been experiencing. She's always been fit but now when she's on the treadmill, she has palpitations that scare her. "They literally stop me in my tracks," she admits to the doctor. The doctor enquires about her caffeine intake, current medications etc and sees no immediate reason as to why Tilly should be suffering from such frequent palpitations. She pulls out her stethoscope and does a routine check, placing it over the 4 chambers of her heart. She instructs Tilly to inhale and exhale slowly. Tilly's concerned so the doctor allows her to listen to her own heart, to see that the beating sounds are actually quite normal, if a little quick - surely nothing to indicate that an attack is imminent. The doctor assures Tilly that she can remove her blouse and she does the same. "Don't be shy," she smiles.

Without the restriction of her blouse, Tilly feels a bit lighter. She complies with the doctor's direction to jog on the spot. Beforehand, the doctor takes her resting heartbeat so as to make a comparison. Her heart rate is elevated a little after jogging, but that's the be expected. Tilly describes a mild feeling of tightness but jogs another bit. Her eyes goes wide. The doctor doesn't notice from her seated position but something very alarming is happening. It seems this visit was more urgent that either of the women imagined!
