After a stare down from a serious Brooke and a cocky Paris, this fight off begins with an explosive start. After a stare down from a serious Brooke and a cocky Paris, this fight off begins with an explosive start. After only a few seconds of circling, Paris launches herself at her adversary and locks her hands around her neck. Brooke immediately pulls the same move and the women spin across the mats with their limbs intertwined, each one trying to knock the either. They're so evenly matched in size and stature that although this happens quickly, there appears to be no clear dominant fighter for the duration of it. Down goes Brooke - a crack sounding out as she makes contact with the entertainment centre - and Paris follows right on top of her. (At this point the video stops for just a couple of seconds to assess her head injury but the fighters actually continue on undeterred, so the video resumes without any break in the action). They've both still got each other in a headlock. Brooke is now on top with one leg outstretched between Paris's and another knelt right up next to Paris's chest in a very dominant position.

After one of the fighters submits, the fighters reposition themselves in the middle of the floor and they go at each other again. It's actually wilder this time. Brooke comes on strong and grabs at Paris' torso, swinging her around, but Paris uses the momentum to her favour. She gets Brooke in a headlock, backs up toward the couch and deliberately falls into it so she can manoeuvre her long legs into a a scissors around Brooke's taught midsection. It's not an easy task, though. Brooke already has her number. She swings her off the couch and drops her straight on the ground so she can mount her but in the process finds herself unfortunately between Paris' legs once more. She crawls forward to make things awkward for her opponent, even as Paris pulls at a bunch of her hair. Both women are bearing their teeth and panting loudly under the strain. No sign of resignation from Brooke yet but Paris' is going anywhere. Will she get this next submission or will Brooke prevail?

20 minutes in length and with very clear submissions, this match proved to be an entertaining one. It is heavy on grappling but look out for moments of catty fury throughout. These women don't miss the chance to throw one another off balance with atomic wedgies (particularly at 15:40) and heavy slapping combined with hair pulling (which really escalates at 25:15 and continues on for a while thereafter). Bras are yanked for leverage and thongs ripped right off in shreds. The fact that 95% of this match is fought on the ground makes for a treat because the contestants are body to body at any given time, their limbs intertwined and complexions contrasting in a ying yang embrace. The sweat is real, the sounds are real and the energy is palpable.
