Leaving for work on this windy but beautiful day, this trusty yaris always gets me there in time. Today should be no different. Stepping into the car wearing a smart dress, I tuck my handbag away and fiddle with my hair.
The first turn of the key... the second... nothing. Not even my talking to the car, pleading her to be good and start seem to work.
She has always started up first time but now every time I attempt to start her, the engine just cranks, over and over..

Leaving for work on this windy but beautiful day, this trusty yaris always gets me there in time. Today should be no different. Stepping into the car wearing a smart dress, I tuck my handbag away and fiddle with my hair.
The first turn of the key... the second... nothing. Not even my talking to the car, pleading her to be good and start seem to work.
She has always started up first time but now every time I attempt to start her, the engine just cranks, over and over..
Checking underneath the bonnet, trying to start her again, rechecking the engine to make sure I have not missed anything - but she just won't start up!
After a while, a miracle happens - she starts! While the engine stays running nicely the revs dip low, so I give her a good revving after turning the car around in a 3. turn, to make sure all is well in an attempt to clear out any problems she may have.
